Barbara Worthen has been an educator of children and teens for the past 50 years, the last 20 years being spent in the Albuquerque Public School system. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University.
She has been a resident of New Mexico for 42 years. She has led many volunteer groups. Her interest and passion for her work with kidney health and education developed as she observed the difficulties of kidney disease as she cared for her husband post kidney and liver transplant.
