Fidel Barrantes
RMA Foundation Board President
Fidel is a transplant nephrologist and clinical hypertension specialist with Renal Medicine Associates and Presbyterian Hospital. He has a special interest in education in kidney disease, health literacy especially in disadvantaged and minority communities, kidney transplantation outcomes in the elderly and other high-risk groups and in translational medicine.

Beth Evans
RMA Foundation Board Vice President
Beth works as a nephrology nurse practitioner at Renal Medicine Associates. She volunteers for two nonprofit organizations (one local and one national),both renal related – American Nephrology Nurses Association(ANNA) and National Kidney Foundation (NKF). Education – doctorate in nursing practice with registered nursing experience. Previously owned a small business.

Maria Sanders
RMA Foundation Board Member
Maria Sanders is the Community Relations Manager at New Mexico Donor Services and state lead for Donate Life New Mexico. She manages all public relations, communications, marketing and legislative activities. Maria develops partnerships with State agencies; builds relationships with media, legislators, and civic organizations; and manages a statewide volunteer network.

Felicia Cde Vaca is an Financial Management specialist that holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management/Human Resource. Felicia is a living donor, donated a kidney to her father in 2014. She is passionate about providing education on organ transplant and kidney disease by improving the quality of life.

James Lucero
Board Member
James E Lucero is a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from Sandia High School in 1975. He was in the home building industry in the late '70's to mid '80's. He entered into the insurance world in 1985 where we owns a successful insurance agency here in Albuquerque. He has been on a number of non-profit organizations as a volunteer or lead volunteer. He is currently the state chair as well as chapter chair for one of the most successful wildlife conservation groups in the country. He has an extensive background in fundraising and organizing events. He is also involved with several groups teaching kids about the outdoors. He has owned several small businesses and is always looking for ways to give back to the community.
